Reverend Frank Pennington,
Pastor
Frank grew up in central Pennsylvania but
has spent most of his life in New York State and in the Philadelphia region.
His first churches involved an Associate Pastor's position working primarily
with university students in Buffalo, NY and as pastor with a UCC church in the
Finger Lakes Region south of Rochester. Frank is a '72 graduate of
Crozer/Colgate Rochester Divinity School with a Master of Divinity Degree and
has been at UCC/VF since 1980. Continuing education is a priority for Frank,
reflecting his active interest in the role of Christians and the Church in
culture and contemporary issues. Involved at both Association and Conference
levels of the wider UCC, he believes the church should be a "meeting house" for
the interplay of faith, spirituality, congregation, and issues of daily living.
Memberships include regional cultural organizations and the Institute On
Religion In An Age of Science. Wider interests include contemporary music,
writing, film, the arts, tennis, and running. (Sometimes we even get him to
sing bass with our 27 member Senior Choir.) When weather permits he also enjoys
cross country skiing.
